Discover the Love for Hiking with the Taiwanese People!
According to a recent report, the top three activities favored by the people of Taiwan are as follows:
- Walking - 31.1%
- Jogging - 25.5%
- Cycling - 23.5%
This time, we chose the renowned DaKeng Trail, also known as the Backyard of Taichung~
It is conveniently located near the city, with plenty of parking spaces at the trail entrances.
The route is simple and the distance is not too long. For those who enjoy a challenge, you can try trails three or four~
✅ The DaKeng Trail consists of twelve paths, and this is our second visit. We had previously tried the "most accessible" trail, trail number six, but mistakenly followed the wrong directions and ended up completing the entire journey by car.
✅ Today, we embarked on trail number nine plus. It was bustling with activity, with various vendors along the way selling fresh produce, snacks, and coffee. Everything you could wish for, so there's no need to bring your own food, and hunger is never an issue.
✅ The air quality here is excellent, with lush trees casting shades and mountains surrounding us. Combined with our detour on trail number six, it reminded me of a poem, where the name "LuShan" is replaced with "DaKeng," creating a delightful similarity.
Horizontal peaks and sloping ridges, near and far, each with its own height. Not knowing the true essence of DaKeng, one can only appreciate its wonders by being in the midst of these mountains.
